Errol Morris, 2013

Academy Award winning director Errol Morris interviews author and private detective Josiah “Tink” Thompson about the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963. The Dealy Plaza was packed with people filming and taking pictures that day, but it was the footage filmed by Abraham Zapruder, more known as the Zapruder film, that proved to have the most complete documentation of the shooting.

Errol Morris is a documentary filmmaker who won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for his film The Fog of War (2003). Josiah Thompson is the author of the book Six Seconds in Dallas (1967) and while working at Life in 1966 he was one of the first to see a first-generation copy of the Zapruder film.
