In this short documentary Matt Zoller Seitz gives us a closer look at Bottle Rocket, the 1996 directorial debut of Wes Anderson and also the feature debut for actors Owen Wilson and Luke Wilson.
Even though the film was a commercial failure, Bottle Rocket helped to kickstart Wes Anderson’s career by drawing attention from critics, and in retrospect the film is an interesting look at a director experimenting and trying his hand at creating a unique style.
